Do you Bulk Bill?


Yes, we directly bill to Medicare for Aged pensioners and children under 16




Can I request a female doctor?


Yes, we have a female doctor at our practice. Appointments can be made subject to availability. Additionally, female doctors are available at Mariners Medical and Tuggerah Medical Centre.




What is the latest I can make an appointment?


The latest appointment is either 5:45pm when we close at 6pm or 6:45 pm when we close at 7pm. These closing times are dependant upon doctor availability so can change - please ring reception to confirm the closing time.




What is the cost to see a doctor?


The cost will vary depending on the nature of the appointment, the doctor seeing you and the individual circumstances of the patient. These costs can be confirmed with reception staff whilst you are making your appointment.




Can I get my results over the phone?


Our reception staff do not have access to your results, and cannot give results over the phone. We recommend making a follow up appointment to review results. Eligible patients may be able to schedule a telephone appointment with their treating doctor to discuss results. Please contact the practice and our reception staff will advise whether you require an in-person attendance or a pre-booked telephone appointment to discuss your results. If your results are abnormal and/or require attention, we will contact you to arrange an appointment with your doctor.




Do you open late nights and weekends


We are open until 6pm* Monday to Friday and from 9am - 1pm on a Saturday. If you need an appointment outside these hours, our sister clinic Mariners Medical may be able to offer you an appointment. * Some weeknights we are open until 7pm, please confirm with reception.




Do you do travel vaccinations?


We do offer travel vaccinations. Please contact reception to book an appointment.




Is there public transport near the Practice?


Yes, there is a bus stop a short walk (less than 400 metres) from the practice on Sparks Road. The bus stop is serviced by several routes, including connecting to nearby train stations.




Can I have blood tests collected on site?


Yes, we have a Douglass Hanly Moir (DHM) collection facility ajoining the practice. Please see our Pathology services page or the DHM Pathology website: www.dhm.com.au for more information.




How will my referral be forwarded on?


The patient is responsible for making their appointment and taking the referral with them when they attend the appointment.




If I have a language barrier or hearing difficulty how can you assist me?


If you require a language translater, call Translating & Interpreting Services on 131 450 to organise for assistance at your consultation. If you require a person to use sign language or assistance with any other type of hearing impairment, call National Auslan on 1800 246 945 to organise this to be available at your consultation. https://www.tisnational.gov.au/
