Appointments

Warnervale GP Superclinic does not prescribe drugs of addiction to new patients.

Our patient scheduling system is flexible enough to accommodate patients with urgent, non-urgent, complex and planned chronic care and preventative health care needs.

The individual preferences of our General Practitioners and other health care providers such as our Nurses are accommodated.  Members of the clinical team are consulted about the length and scheduling of appointments.  If you require a long consultation, please advise the receptionist at the time of making the booking.

Patients can request to see their preferred Doctor or member of the health team. The length of clinical consultations will vary according to individual patients needs. Our aim is to provide enough time for adequate communication between patients and their Doctors to facilitate preventative care, effective record keeping and patient satisfaction. Patients are encouraged to ask for a longer appointment at the time of booking if they think it will be necessary.

Our Practice endeavours to accommodate patients with urgent medical matters even when fully booked.

Home visits are at the discretion of the treating doctor.

Staff members are trained to have the skills and knowledge to assist patients in determining the most appropriate length and timing of consultations and to recognise and act accordingly for patients with urgent medical matters. Walk-ins will be accommodated on a medical priority basis.

We endeavour to respect patients cultural background and where possible meet their needs including providing privacy for patients and others in distress.

Results - Due to medico-legal reasons, a follow up consultation is required to discuss your results.

Recalls - The practice will contact you directly if your results require an urgent appointment.

Reminder System - We are committed to preventative health care.  Our practice participates in National and State reminder systems and registers.  From time to time you may be issued with a reminder notice offering an appointment for preventative health services appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to participate in these systems, please notify your doctor.
